2012 Women's Retreat

When: Begins Friday afternoon, April 20, 2012, and ends Sunday morning, April 22, 2012.

Where: Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, TN (about a 40 minute drive from Murfreesboro)

Accommodations: Lodge at Henry Horton State Park (no, we aren't camping, even though it's a state park)

Program Leader: The Reverend Monna Mayhall.

Food: Good. The park lodge is known for great food. Meals will be served buffet style with many choices.

Cost: Full weekend includes lodging on Friday and Saturday night plus all meals on Saturday, and Sunday breakfast. Saturday option includes lunch but not lodging.

White Elephant Sale

ECW's White Elephant Sale - our main fundraising event - will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012, with the Donor's Sale Friday, February 17 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., so save those White Elephants! Donation drop-off Dates are January 21 and 28, February 4, and 11. All donations are tax deductible and donors will be given a receipt for their donations when they drop them off. Fill out the volunteer sign-up form on the White Elephant Sale web page or on the bulletin boards in the parish hall beginning in December. Contact Sale Coordinator: Claire Bradford.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)

Episcopal Church Women (ECW) has as its members all women of the parish at least 18 years old. Its mission is to assist the women of the church in carrying out Christ's work of reconciliation in the world and to take their place as leaders in the life, governance, and worship of the church by:

  • Providing opportunities for the love, guidance and support of other women
  • Assisting and enabling the women of the church to carry out their own mission and ministry
  • Providing educational, leadership and spiritual growth and nourishment opportunities to the women of the church
  • Providing opportunities for service to the church, the community and the world
  • Committee work is our core method of operation. Standing committees are: Leadership/Education/Spiritual Development, Ministry, Devotional Life/Chaplain, Fund Raising, Social Events, and Communications/PR.
